How did they move the stones at Stonehenge?

In is most likely that the people who built Stonehenge developed a system of levers and pulleys made of logs and rope to move the stones. This would have been a temporary structure designed for this purpose, which is why it doesn't exist today.

No one truly knows. The stones were moved before the advent of technology that would be necessary to accomplish it. There must have been some sort of unknown technique that they used. It remains a mystery to this day.
