Some foods are naturally high in fiber and others have fiber added to them. Most fruits and vegetables are naturally high in fiber. Bran cereals, as well as the line of Fiber One and Kashi cereals often have a lot of fiber. If you still aren't getting enough, consider a fiber supplement like citicel or metamusel.

One way to tell is if the food looks 'rough' in texture, it is probably high in fiber. Foods such as oatmeal, and fruits and vegetables are high in fiber.

Fruit, vegetables, nuts and seeds are good sources of fiber. Cereals which are to prossecced have less fiber. Look at food labels, try to eat 6g of fiber per 100g.

Go for anything that has "whole" in the name, for example wholewheat pasta, wholegrain cereal, wholemeal bread. The body doesn't absorb fibre.

Most products labelled whole grain are usually high in fiber and most fruits and vegetables also contain fiber. For packaged products look for the Nutritional Information on the package.

Fiber is listed in the nutritional information under carbohydrates. Also, many fresh fruits and vegetables are naturally high in fiber if you eat the peel.

Vegetables have a lot of fiber in them. The greener they are the more they have in them. Also whole grains have a lot in them, too.
