How can you stop a child from day dreaming in class?

There could be a couple of things that cause it. Doctors might say that the child suffers from Attention Deficit while it might just be that the child is bored with class. Sometimes, when a child is a genius, regular school work ores the child because it is too easy. I suggest having the child tested.

Your child might need to use some of his energy like bouncing his feet during instruction. For children who are easily distracted it seems to help if they are doing 2 things- like drawing a picture while listening to a story. The trick is to find something that is not distracting to other students.

To make your child stop day dreaming in class is to make sure that the teacher would pick on him more because he isn't listing too anyone so if the teacher picks on him he will have to be more into studying not day dreaming. I hope this works thanks!

Work closely with your childs teacher to understand the problem and devise a solution. Using a reward system at home and school might help improve concentration.
