How can you delay your menstrual cycle?

My cycle is to start while I am on vacation and I would like to prevent that from happening.

If you are taking the birth control pill, you can delay your menstrual cycle by skipping the week of non-active pills and going straight into a new pack instead. Skipping your period for one month is safe for most people, but be sure to check with your doctor.

Often, birth control pills can delay or prevent a period from happening every 28 days. First, check with your doctor to make sure you have the right type of BCP. Then, rather than taking the placebo pills for 7 days (during which time you would have your period), begin a new pack immediately. This will prevent a period that month.

I think you could delay your menstrual cycle starting birth control pills ASAP and taking them through when you are supposed to get your period. I've also heard that the Depo shot can delay your period for up to 6 months. Talk to your doctor.

The surest way to postpone menstruation is to take birth control pills. Instead of taking the sugar pills at the end of the month, start a new pack, so the level of hormones in your body stays the same. This will trick your body into missing a menstrual period, until you take the sugar pills or stop the pill altogether.

You can get on a type of birth control, sometimes they stop your period from comming. If you do start, buy a douche! It stops it for a couple hours.
