A resolution is a lot like a conclusion, only with a point or decision reached. I would try to touch on the main points of your argument and add a statement, like "thus, this is the only decision that could be made. "

The easiest way to write a resolution is to obtain one that has already been passed and change to fit your needs.

The purpose of a resolution is to provide a feeling of closure for the reader, regardless of whether the piece is an essay, article or story. Sup up what has been mentioned in the text and repeat the conclusions that were drawn. Use powerful language to leave the reader with a sense of finality.

However you want. You could start with, "I resolve to" and then put whatever you want. You should make sure it's measurable and has a deadline.

Sections that make up a resolution are a title for the problem or proposed solution, author, preamble, resolved section for the proposed action, bibliography, and estimated cost of implementation.

First, state reasons for the desired resolution ("Whereas, a hurricane is imminent,"). Then, identify precisely what is resolved ("RESOLVED that all area public schools shall be closed immediately."). Finally, give effective dates ("This resolution shall take effect immediately and shall remain effective until June 18, 2010, unless earlier rescinded.").

A resolution is a goal that you intend to act upon by a specific date. New Years Resolutions are the most popular, as goals one wants to complete by the end of the year. Write down what you want to do. The more concrete it is, the more likely it can be achieved.

It depends on the way your story has built up. The best resolutions take the elements that have been presented in the story, all of the dangling plot threads, and wrap them up satisfactorily.
