How can I trust my wife after infidelity? It has been one year.

I can't seem to trust her even though I want to. Will this feeling ever go away?

It sounds like you're just expecting it to fix itself. Seek marriage counseling and make sure that the therapist is somebody you BOTH feel very comfortable with. You may go through several before you find the one, but it is well worth it. Good luck to you.

Trusting after such an incident is difficult. Looking at the evidence over the past year of your wife being faithful is powerful stuff that should ease your mind a bit. Focusing on keeping the relationship strong is equally important.

Most people who have cheated once are highly prone to doing it again. The feeling will probably never go away. She betrayed your trust and that's hard to earn back.

If counseling and talking it out isn't working; it's quite possible that you won't be able to get through it. It's completely understandable and may be best for you both.

It may take years to rebuild trust. Get in depth counseling as a couple on why she committed infidelity in the first place. If you are confident that the reasons she did it are behind you, it is easier to trust her for the future. Do not use a therapist who puts the blame on you.
