How can I troubleshoot problems with my Olds Alero blower relay?

Local parts houses usually do free diagnostics on your vehicle if you can get to them. Another option is to check the voltage coming from the positive and negative at the fuse terminal.

The best thing to do is to take the old relay out and put a new one in. If you are still having the same problems you are going to want to take a test light and put it in the blower motor relay outlet and make sure you have power going to it.

Identify and remove the relay from the circuit panel. It should have five prongs on the bottom, grouped 2 and 3. Take a test light to the two prongs. If the relay makes a clicking sound when you attach and remove the light, it's fine. If no click, it's broken.
