If he isn't eating and is acting lethargic, it is a good idea to see a veterinarian. Also, if he is injured and doesn't seem to be recovering. Sugar gliders don't always act sick when they are, so follow your gut here!

Pets need to be taken to the vet at least once a year for a health exam and vaccinations. Take your pet to a vet with Sugar Glider experience.

If your sugar glider is not eating like normal or showing any obvious signs of illness, like sleeping much more than usual, lethargy, losing hair, white spots on eyes, any signs of discharge. Gliders are very active, so if he is no longer exploring and playing, it could be a sign of illness. When in doubt, go get a checkup!

If the animal shows a change such as lethargy, unusual aggression, changes in "potty" habits, or excessive shyness, this is worth looking into at the vet's office.

If something isn't right with him, e.g. not eating, poop is different, behavior is different, injuries etc. Then he needs to go to the vet.
