In order to tell if your goat is pregnant you would want to test the estrogen in her urine. You can buy a kit that will test the estrogen level.

For a while, you won't know if she is pregnant. Once she starts getting bigger, look if she has a utter. It may be barley there, but it will fill up completely shortly before giving birth. Most goats are OK giving birth by their selves without a vet's help.

Depending on how far along the goat is a vet can tell by manually palpating the area. Ultrasounds and bloodwork can detect the pregnancy before it can be felt.

After breeding, if the female doesn't go back into heat it's a good sign of pregnancy. Check for changes in shape and weight.

Because the goat kids will be very active, you should be able to feel them moving inside the mother by laying your hand on her belly.

I have recently noticed my pygmy goat appears to be gaining weight. She has utters but they are not full. At this time I do not have a vehicle that can properly transport her to a veterinarian.
