Don't use cliche pickup lines for starters. The best thing you can do to strike up a conversation is, "Hi! My name is (your name here). What's yours?" That's more impressive than anything. When entering the conversation, it ok to be nervous cause she probably is too.

I would suggest finding some common ground to start a conversation with a girl. Perhaps school work, music, vacation plans. Try to compliment on her attire etc.

Just walking up, smiling and saying "hello" is the best way to start a converstaion with a girl you are interested in. Pick up lines never work.

If it is someone, you've seen around, just walk up to her and say Hi! I'd like to get to know you and I've seen you around (fill in the place you've been seeing her).

Well if the girl is in one of your class, you can just ask her about what homework we had (even if you know), asking for pencil (but don't annoy her! ), etc.... then when you meet her next day you can be more comfortable and goes on.............. ~ Hope~!
