How can I repair an eyeglass scratch?

Usually scratches are the death knell of an eyeglass lens. Although I like what the above person wrote about toothpaste. Try rouge, too. Any very fine abrasive might do the trick. Be sure to rub VERY gently. But chances are the lens is a gonner.

Sometimes you can use a small amount of petroleum jelly applied to the scratched surface then the excess carefully wiped away.

There are a few tricks to repairing a scratch in a pair of glasses. One quick and easy solution is to rub toothpaste over the scratch!
