There are special pens available that you can "draw" directly over the scratch. It is basically touch up paint in a pen to give you precise aim on the scratch. Works ok and nobody will notice it but you'll always know it's there.

To avoid costly repairs by a professional, you can do it yourself. First, use fine grade sandpaper to lightly smooth out area. Then, spray area with coordinating color enamel paint.

The scratch on an appliance can be repaired by polishing the scratched area by using a paint of the color of the body of the appliance. If the scratch is big enough to be noticed, one can cover it by applying some transparent glue or a sticker covering the scratched area.

I have used the buffing cream that you use to fix scratches on cars on my appliances before. I just used a lot less the before made sure that I did not get it on any surfaces that might come into contact with food and buffed it for about two minutes, it worked like a charm.

Depend on the appliance and color. You can go to a hardware store(homedepot or lowes)to get tounch up paint. There are products out there to buy for stainless steel appliance to remove scratch. I would go to one of the stores above.
