There are companies that make products to do this. However if you want to save cash you can sometimes buff out light scratches with toothpaste and a soft cloth.

Most iPod cases are plastic. Removing scratches is hard in plastic; you could sand the area lightly with a light abrasive and then buff to bring back the shine, but most plastics will only get more scratches doing this. I'd use alcohol, clean the scratches well, buff dry as this makes the scratches less noticeable.
