Sooty mold and powdery mildew both are prominent crepe myrtle enemies. Using a mixture of water and Dawn dish detergent, douse tree with this and spray to rinse. Fungicides containing Neem are recommended for severe problems. Make sure your tree has plenty of sunshine and lots of air circulation to combat this problem. Water early in the day.

Well basically you want to spray raid to the whole surface to make sure that some of it will come off. Other parts need to be scraped off manually. Even if you scrape them off manually you need to provide a mold repellent that will kill off all the fungus cells.

Well yes you can remove it by applying vinegar or rubbing alcohol around the surface. Let it sit there for some time and then rub off.

Squirt 3-4 tablespoons of AJAX dish soap mixed and shaken with water in a spray bottle. Spary generously on leaves once or twice daily each day until mold disappears.
