The easiest way would be to add several colors of throw pillows on the sofa. You could also add decorative ribbon in a bright color along the seams of the cushions.

Well the first thing you can do is buy some colored throw pillows. Drape an afghan with similar color or colors over the arm. Buy an area run to put in front of the beige couch, including colors pulled from the pillow and afghan.

Beige looks really great with burgundy accents, maybe a burgundy/beige rug with different types of pillows to accent the color. Be sure to vary the pillows otherwise it gets boring. If you have silk flowers in the room of the same colors to coordinate that will provide a put together look for the room.
