Give the correct dose of child's pain reliever about 30 minutes before bed. Right before bed apply a topical pain reliever to the gums.

Give your toddler some infant Tylenol or motrin before they go to bed. Don't make a habit of it but a little will help a lot.

First give the toddler some Tylenol. Ibuprophen also works, but may cause stomach upset. In combination with Tylenol or Ibuprophen, you can use a teething gel like OraGel or Numbsit. If you do not have any of the above available, freeze a clean, wet cloth until it is "crunchy". Let the toddler bite on this.

1. Give them Tylenol an hour before bedtime. 2. Put tooth pain medicine on the child's gums before bedtime.
