You need to look for the carborators (or throtle body). They are usually under the gas tank. Then look for where the throtle cable connects to it. Around that area there should be a set screw that you can adjust for the idle. Read your manual, it will tell you.

The process while be different depending on whether it is fuel injected or carbureted. If your bike is carbureted then you will have to adjust the idle screws on the carbs to get the desired rpm. Injected bikes will require computer programming to change the idle.

Look at the owners manual and determine the amount of RPM's the bike should be running at idle. Then adjust your carborator screws. Rev the engine and adjust accordingly.
