If the mother dog has a good well rounded diet, she will pass the nutrients and antibodies on to her pups. Calcium tablets can be purchased over the counter for the mother to help rebuild calcium stores her body has lost through pregnacy and nursing. This form of calcium will also pass along to the puppies also.
