Practice playing the scales and arpeggios (notes 1, 3, 5 and 8 of the scale) until you have them mastered. Most of your soloing will come from these notes and this practice. When soloing, if you know the melody, play the chords.

The easiest way is just to learn as many scales as possible and play through them as often as possible. One of the best scales for a beginner to learn is a simple minor pentatonic scale. Try, maybe, A minor. Play through it often, and try it over chords. Then try playing random notes in the scale.

Lots of practice involving a great guitar, a copy of all scales, and hours of practice. There are many different scales, both harmonic, inharmonic, minor and major, flat and sharp, so learning to paly a guitar solo will take lots of practice under a great instructor in order to learn the scales.
