If you have a newer shower head, then there may be a restictor in place to reduce the level of water flow and water pressure. Assuming the problem is a restrictor, then you just need to take off the shower head and remove the plastic insert that acts as the restictor.

Most likely, it is the plumbing coming into the house. Calcium, rust and other minerals build up inside the lines and decrease water flow. You may need to replace them.

To increase your water pressure in your shower, the easiest way to do it is go to your local department store and replace the head of the shower.

In order to give you an apparent increase in the force of the water coming from the shower decrease the area that the water exits the shower head.
