To recieve a good directv signal your satellite dish must be pointing through a clearing.Any trees in the way could disrupt the signal.Be sure all cables are attached firmly also.

First of all, make sure you have a clear view of the southern sky. Trees, houses, and power lines can all impede a clear satellite signal. Make sure your dish is clear of debris. Leaves, snow and dirt in the dish make for a poor television experience. Finally, check your cables.

You can try to reposition dish, but that would mean contacting customer service who installed it. Most likely if the signal isn't that bad, it will result in a house-call charge, which can be fairly expensive. You can talk to them if the signal gets really bad about relocating it to a better area of your home.

Usually if you have bad signal, a simple reset should fix any problems. If the weather is bad outside, that may affect your signal as well.

You can improve that buy placing the t.v. in an area which is close to reception. Place the t.v. in an area where you have great reception basically.

The only way to improve your direct TV signal is to move the dish around to get a better view of the satellite, but if you had it professionally installed, it should be set to be at its best.
