Beetles are basically black in color and they have an oval body. The body is surrounded with some legs. They look like a thick black yarn ball.

About one fifth of Earth's creatures are beetles. If you want to determine whether a creepy crawly is a beetle, look for a pair of leathery wing coverings on its back. This book may help: 'Beetles: A Field Guide to The Beetles of North America', by Richard E. White.

Well beetles are actually very oval in shape. They have a few legs and they just look like a big and thick circle pretty much. You will notice them for their oval circular shape. They are very thick and black in color. They really just can't be missed. Once you see it, you will know.
