How can I help my bougainvillea bloom?

THese are a more difficult plant. Keep it watered and leave it alone really. They generally dont bloom for the first few years and they wont bloom every season either. You can try some fertilizer but dont be too generous.

Bougainvillea is not a seasonal flowering plant. It blooms only when it wants to. You can try some fertilizer. It needs plenty of water. It is better to keep them in direct sunlight for blooming.

Your bougainvillea won't bloom unless it wants to. If it is happy in its environment, it will want to. It needs plenty of direct sunlight, plenty of water and soil which drains well.

The best way is by assuring your plant is in a well drained and nurished soil. Be sure to fertilize and do not let it dry out between waterings as this will greatly reduce the plants health and appearance. Also, if it is in a pot do not set it on a plate as this can drown your plant.
