Firstly you should smile frequently as this will will promote a feeling of warmth and comfort amongst the guests. Express genuine interest in the conversations of guests. You can do this by listening to the details of their conversations and following up with related comments or questions - poeple enjoy themselves and will like you if you seem interested in them.

Manners are cultural, and so it depends in part on who is hosting you. A good guide to standard Western manners is Miss Manners (Judith Martin). Her advice can be a little uptight, but I've found it to be surprisingly relevant, and adaptable to my own personal circumstances. One tip: never drink too much!

well as you are a guest to someone you can always thank the person who is serving you and if you like the food then perhaps you can ask him/her the recipes. be polite and always appreciate what they are offering to you.Apart from that can say you will share your experience with your family/friends.

You say hello to the host ask how they are and compliment the food. Small talk is the in thing when talking to guests and being polite. No swearing and mingle with other guests. Say thank you when offered a drink. Do not get into any arguments, when eating food proper table manners are essential.
