How can I go about resetting a panel cluster?

You must remove the dashboard face 1st. Be very carefull. After that locate the bad bulbs. Replace with ne ones, test them. Then replace the dashboard face carefully.

If you are wanting to "turn back" an odometer because you rebuilt the motor, it is illegal and should not be done by anyone.

Gauge clusters usually do not need to be reset. Like any electronic device in a car, simply leaving the battery disconnected over a period of time will "reset" it. If you are having problems with your gauge cluster, it usually results from hardware failure inside the cluster or a bad connection.

All makes and models have different method of resetting the instrument cluster. Some thing can only be reset by a mechanic with a specialty scanner. I would need more information.
