Put mayonnaise. It has the oil, and egg mixture. Generously leave on the spot a few hours and buff off with a clean soft rag. Repeat if needed.

It depends on what type of furniture we are talking about. Since I am assuming wood there are a few solutions. There is Old English, Mayonnaise left on the water mark for a couple hours, or a white distilled vinegar and vegetable oil solution rubbed into the wood along grain.

Water spots are an easy mistake to make, but take a bit of effort to clean up. You'll need a sander--sand paper alone won't do. Sand down the area slightly. Then apply the varnish/stain of of the furniture with a brush. Let dry. If need be, add another coat of varnish.

If on wood furniture that has actual water stains, your going to need to refinish the piece. If the stains are on fabric you should be able to use an upholstery cleaner.

If it is wooden furniture it is pretty difficult but there are some household solutions. Mayonnaise, peanut butter, and toothpaste have all been known to work. You could also heat it up before hand.
