It depends on the type of turtle. Water turtles eat live food in water pretty readily. Minnows, small goldfish, or baitworms are good choices. Box turtles like baitworms, crickets, and other live foods. They love strawberries, bananas, dark green leafy vegetables. Avoid plain lettuce. It has no nutritional value. First, make sure your turtle is warm enough. Turtles will not eat if they are cold. Second, vary the kinds of food you offer; turtles in the wild seek out many different types of food. Lastly, offer colorful food. Turtles see in color, so visually appealing food stimulates their appetites.

They are probably not eating because of temperature. The water should be about 80 degrees farenheit and the basking site about ten degrees hotter. Leave earthworms too.

Turtles go through cycles whereas, they eat very little and this normally not a cause for concern. Perhaps, you can entice your turtle to eat by offering an earthworm.
