You can pressure wash where ever their is stains to get it off quickly, but I am sure it will come back.

This did not work for me, but wet the sidewalk down, and sprinkling baking soda on it worked very easily. Its chemistry. Acorns produce acid, baking soda is a base.  add a comment

I own a 2200psi pressure washer. It does NOT remove the dark circles caused by acorns (tried it yesterday). I've read you need to use CLR or muriatic acid to remove those.

I put some full strength, outdoor bleach in a spray bottle and use it successfully on acorn stains on my concrete driveway.

This works for me too. Usually one shot works, sometimes two if the stain is real dark. If its black though, it may take some working with a toothbrush too.  add a comment

Don't believe the folks saying using a pressure washer works. I have a pressure washer, and it won't remove acorn stains from my driveway.  add a comment

The best way to remove any stains off concrete, such as nuts and acorns, would be to use a pressure washer. They can be rented at any major hardware store.

To remove stains from concrete, get a heavy duty wire brush and some concrete cleaner from a hardware store, make sure it has no bleach in it. Scrub at the stains by hand, then powerwash the rest away. You can seal the concrete as well to make it easier to clean next time.

You can use bleach, it won't harm the concrete. And use a nylon brush, a steel wire brush will leave small pieces from the wire as the concrete is harsh on the wire. These steel bits will stay on the surface and rust causing more stains.  add a comment

The best way to remove those annoying discoloration on your concrete. Scrub with one cup ammonia diluted in one gallon of water. Hose it down well when you're done.

Put some news paper or a wasted bedsheet under the trees so that the nuts and acorns may not drawn on the concrete. Otherwise you can do it with the help of machine. This will save your time and energy. Acorns are very hard and thorny so cover your hands with the gloves before cleaning it.

I was sucessful getting stains off concrete sidewalk caused by leaves and acorns left there for long periods buy mixing cheap bleach and tide liquid detergent in a sprayer or a bucket with mop. Scrubbed with shop broom and hosed it off. Outstanding results. Now I need a sealer.

Take a chain saw and cut the tree down. Then, clean the driveway using any of the above recommended methods (except the pressure washer...it doesn't work on acorn stains).
