Tellers constitute the majority of bank employees. There is high turnover in this field so jobs often become available. Most tellers have completed high school and then receive further training through their bank. Tellers who wish to advance in a bank should continue their education past high school or take specific banking courses.

Some sort of accounting experience and education would be most helpful. You should also be able to pass a criminal background check.

In a lot of cases education is not always necessary as long as you are able to do the job. Math skills are a must, as well as prior experience handling money.

You can apply for this position at your local bank. You need to have good math skills and the ability to count quickly while working with large amounts of money.
