Request a copy of the W2 from the employer. The employer is required to keep a copy of the W2 forms and should be able to provide a copy.

If you need a hard copy of the W-2, the only way is to contact the employer and request a copy directly from them. If the employer is no longer operating, it's not too likely you can secure a copy. The IRS doesn't have W-2 copies available.

First, request it from the employer. Or you can send IRS Form 4506-T to get the IRS transcript of the data from your w-2. No State or local information included.
