Patchouli seeds should be fresh for best results. Cover lightly with a well draining potting mix, water well and place on bottom heat. Seeds should germinate in 2-4 weeks.

Takes a long time. Scarify the seeds (sandpaper is good), put in a ziplock bag with moist peat or vermiculite. Still chancy, you are best off growing from cuttings. This is a very temperamental plant and normal rules don't apply, too little sun, water, too much.... If you can get it to thrive, it is great.

The seed are very dense and require roughly three weeks before germination. Try sowing seeds on a warm, damp paper towel inserted inside a baggie, you may have to change the medium to prevent mold forming. Another way is to sow them on a sponge fitted inside a plastic container. Remove the lid periodically to allow for air.
