How can I find out if my medicaid is active?

Answer by  joshandeleisa (331)

The best way to find out if your Medicaid is active it to contact your local Department of Children and Families. You will have to provide them with your Social Security Number your and Medicaid number but they can tell you the status. You can also contact your doctor, they can run the number to see if it is active.

Call you Department of Human Services and ask them. Even the receptionist at the front desk should be able to get this answer for you.

Medicaid is administered by each state. You will need to contact your state's department of health to determine whether your Medicaid is active.
