Based upon location you could check local newspapers for help wanted ads. Also you can check the phone book for production jobs and call them to see if they are hiring. Try searching online for entry level production assistant in the same location you are in and see if that helps.

Try doing volunteer work at a local television or radtio station. Ask about helping at local theatre or high school theatre productions. Create your own show at a church or local community theatre.
