How can I eliminate the smell of smoke from my house that comes from my neighbor's house?

My across-the-hall neighbor smokes constantly, and it seeps into my apartment. I can smell it everywhere. I know there are things people who smoke use to air out their houses. What are they? I'm having a baby soon, and I don't want it to get worse.

You should complain to your landlord. You can buy an ionizer, but really, they don't work as advertised. Research them, but if your landlord won't help, you may have to move

There are chemical products that will eliminate this odor such as Tap-A-Drop by Nilodor (which you can use in the hall too) or a smoke eater type candle but with a new baby on the way I'd suggest a HEPA air filter for the room where the smoke comes in. They work great for smoke and other allergens.

You could always buy an air purifier and see if that would help. Also activated charcoal works wonders ! You can buy it online or in pet stores. You just sit it out and it will absorb the odors. You can sit out some baking soda as well it also absobs odors.

I am a smoker and i use candles to cover up the smell! I also use the airwick air fresheners and the flameless candles!! They work really well because everyone that walks in my house thinks it smells wonderful!

Air purifiers will improve the air quality in your apartment, but they will not remove the particles of smoke. Add-on smoke filters are available for air purifiers.

I smoke and I use those Lysol air fresheners that go off by themselves. You can set them to go off every 9, 18, or 36 minutes. I have all over my house. Also I use frebreze air freshener that comes in a can. this can eliminates all the odors in the air.
