You need to troubleshoot different areas. First make sure that the fuel system is working. Check that the fuel filter is not clogged and you have consistent fuel pressure. Next check the electrical system for proper voltage. Also check your spark-plugs and make sure all wires and connections are tight.

Take it to autozone or advance auto parts and have a quick code check done. This will help give you a clue as to why it is stalling out on you.

I would try some tests first, meaning try somethings before taking the car to the mechanic. Check to see if your gage is working. Make sure you have gas in your tank. Then I would put some dry gas into the gas tank to make sure there is not any water in your tank that could cause it to stall.

A vehicle can stall for many reasons. Your best bet is to take the vehicle to your local Auto Zone or like store and have them hook up to your computer in your vehicle which will spit out a code telling the issues with your vehicle. Then you can decide to fix yourself or go see a mechanic.

Well this will require you to do some trouble shooting. Look online to see what you situation sounds like and then see what to do to try and fix it. At the least it should put you in the right direction a to where to start looking for problems.

Troubleshoot! Common problems are a carb needing to be adjusted, the timing being off, throttle linkage problems, needing an ignition tune up, and more. Two things make a car run: Fuel and Spark. One of those is not working right.

If you have a manual transmission, your car may be stalling because you may be letting go of the clutch without pressing the gas pedal down enough.
