You need the proper electrical supply to the devices - on/off switches for each descrete function. You may need the services of a certified electrician.You can split the electrical interface of the fan and the light so they are connected to two difference separate switches. u use fan switch properly

You must run separate wiring for each device, and set two switches. You may need to replace the existing hardware with different components.

You need the proper electrical supply to the devices - on/off switches for each descrete function. You may need the services of a certified electrician.

Have a qualified electrician wire the fan and light seperately. This is a fairly easy job but does require a licensed electrician. After they are separated, each will be controlled with its own switch.
