Your best bet when cleaning stains on flagstone is to use a pressure washer with a wide spray nozzle so that you dont damage the stone.

For stains that aren't removed by detergent and/or organic cleaners and scrubbing then a solution of muriatic acid may be needed. Be sure to use all safety precautions.

Depending on the type of stain it is, you may have to try a couple things. Flagstone is very porous, so you will need more than a surface cleaner. Try using muriatic acid (with obvious safety precautions) on a small area. If this does not work, you may need to sandblast the stained area.

You can use muriatic acid to clean flagstone. Mix one quart of muriatic acid with two gallons of water. Use a brush to apply the acid and rinse with water.

Most stains can be removed by pressure washing the flag stone. For tough stains, use a flagstone cleaning solutin mixed in a five gallon bucket with a stiff broom.

I would first start with a power washer with a cleaning solution. This cleans anything and uses alot of force.

The simple way to clean a flagstone is first maybe just use the broom..And after that you can use a water and a brush to wipe up all the dirt. You really have to do it not once. And if theres a stain on it i think you have to buy some chemical speacially use for flagstone
