Open the engine hood. Remove the wiring plug from the back of the light. Unscrew the hold-down by turning counterclockwise. Remove bad headlight. Replace with the new one and then simply reverse the steps to seat, fasten, and plug in the new one.

Depending on the year of your Impala. On older models you need to get to the two mounting screws that hold in the light bulb. On newer models just get access to the rear of the light assembly and twist out the bulb. Reverse steps in either case to finish.
