Computers are used for everything from digitally sending prescriptions to the local pharmacy to keeping patient records that are accessible by any doctor. Computers also help researchers model diseases and find better cures for them by using the 3D modeling that is so processor intensive that it would not have been possible even a decade ago.

Computers are primarily used for record keeping. This can include medical records, financial records, and billing information. Computers are also used to process MRI results, X-rays and other digital body scans. Computers can be used to send electronic data for doctors' offices, such as billing information from the doctor's office to the insurer.
