How accurate are pregnancy test, at home pregnancy test?

They have varying levels of accuracy depending on the test (read the box for additional information). For the most part they are very accurate. If you get a positive you are likely pregnant - there are very few false positives. If you get a negative and still don't get a period test again in a couple of days.

Most pregnancy tests are very accurate normally about 99% acurate and can be easily done at home however there is a 1% chance that they may be incorrect so a check up with a doctor is advisable especially if the test is positive.

Home pregnancy tests are accurate, as long as you have not taken a drug that interferes with it or take it too early in your cycle.

The tests are very accurate in picking up hCG (the pregnancy hormone). Each brand has a differant minimum level hormone it can detect.

At home pregnancy tests are pretty acurate especially if you are far along, and you didn't know. Sometimes it can be too early for at home tests to detect hCG, a hormorne only found in pregnanct women.
