Does using hydrogen peroxide help to lighten grout?

No, but bleach will if you can stand the smell. The best bet would be to wear a mask when doing this. Also depending on the area you can take some of the grout out and re-grout using a lighter shade. Be prepared for alot of work, but will pay off when it is done.

Hydrogen peroxide can be efficacious, depending on what is darkening your grout. A better solution, if you want to be green, is baking soda, but the best is Soft Scrub.

yes by using the paste of hydogen peroxide and baking soda we can ligten grout. but the best way to clean grout is using oxygen bleach. it works the same way as hydrogen peroxide does,when mixed with water.

It is a bleaching agent, so it is worth a try if you've got it. Start with a low concentration, and move up if it doesn't work.
