The Fuel line to the filter on your Ford 460 should not be leaking, if it is you may be able to use sealant to fix the problem. First determine where on the line the leak is. Once you know where it is apply Rector-Seal to the line and then add an outer coating of teflon tape to seal.

No. Do not add any potential contaminant to the fuel line. Remove the pinch clamps and replace with the worm gear type after installing the new filter.

For a leak fuel line a sealant as an emergency solution is necessary. But for permanent solution this should be replaced. A Ford 460 inferno is not a good idea.

Typically a fuel line shouldn't have sealant since it may come loss inside the line and cause problems in a fuel system. Just make sure the connection fit really well.
