Does only one testicle produce sperm?

Even if you only have just one testicle you can still produce sperm and function normally when trying to father children. Each testicle produces sperm of its own and therefore serves as a backup.

In a normal individual, both of the testes will produce and store sperm prior to the reproductive act wherein it's released.
