Laser hair removal does work but it is a painful process. A laser is used to remove the hair from it's roots to prohibit the ability for it to grow back. It is not an invasive surgical procedure but it does require some preperatory work before the procedure is actually conducted.

Well it does work, but the thing is about 60 to 70% of your hair will grow back and the rest will still be there. If the hair is really fine then it is impossible for the laser to target this hair and make it go away. And it doesn't all grow back.

Generally speaking, laser hair removal does work but it is not necessarily permanent. Many patients need multiple sessions and the treatments can be painful and unpleasant. Once it is done though, the results should last for a long time.
