Keyshia Cole is her real, legal name. She was born Keyshia Michelle Lons in Oakland, California in 1981 and after being in foster care was adopted by the Cole family when she was twelve. Her first name remained unchanged, her middle name was changed to Mieshae and her last name was changed.
