Does having alcohol the night before alter liver enzyme test results?

Well that depends on the liver enzymes being tested or the quantity of alcohol. Alcohol is toxic to the liver cells and could affect your results. You should not drink any alcohol the night before a liver enzyme test. For example the GGT enzyme will rise linked to alcohol ingestion.

You shouldn't drink before having the tests. Because it might show up in the test. Plus it would be bad to drink before a test.

Alcohol, along with some medications, can effect the enzyme levels causing the test results to be incorrect. Alcohol can mask some conditions.
