Does Excel open .pst files?

What creates those things?

.pst files are created by Outlook to store Personal Folders, which allow you to copy email objects -- e.g. messages -- from the email server to your local computer, for archiving or other purposes. They are not readable by Exel, but you can read them in Outlook.

The .pst extension is a MS Outlook file type for a Personal Folder that you set up. To open it, import it into a MS Outlook Programs. Excel will fail if you attempt to open it there
