Collodial silver helps get bacteria out of the body by filtering it through the kidneys and exits your body through your urine.

It may kill off some of it, but it won't get rid of it all. However, if you decided to use it, be very careful. Overuse of colloidal silver causes "argyria" - a condition where your skin turns blue.

Colloidal silver kills one-celled organisms. It destroys bad bacteria and also good bacteria. Just as with any antibiotic, caution should be used. When taking any antibiotic, you should eat yogurt to replace good bacteria that is destroyed. Colloidal silver can kill bacteria as strong as e-coli, but just keep in mind that not all bacteria in the body are harmful.

It does not get rid of all bacteria in the body, which is good because intestinal bacteria are essential. However, colloidial silver can turn your skin blue, permanently.

Colloidal silver was commonly sold before 1938 as the antiseptic Argyrol and may indeed have anti-bacterial properties, but it's untested and unapproved. Large doses turns skin bluish-grey.
