Does cat poop cause salmonella poisoning to vegetables?

My cat goes to the bathroom in my garden.

Salmonella comes from birds and reptiles. Your cat shouldn't be carrying salmonella. Mammals do carry a bacteria known as E. Coli, as well as the risk of worse things.

Salmonella lives in the intestinal tracts of animals, if the poop contains salmonella then would harm the vegetables. It can last 7 to 14 weeks in the poop.
