Carrying a pink lighter can mean a couple of things: the person really likes pink lighters; the person use another person's lighter and walked off with it; pink was the only color left at the store. Beyond one of those things, it has no special meaning.

The overall appearance of the person will also determine this doubt of being a gay. like maybe he is a fashion guy that likes all trends whatever they sign to, or a guy that likes to have unusual stuff, or maybe just to distinguish his lighter from others'! another possibility is that its his girlfriend's lighter!

Although men do often tease each other about carrying a feminine colored lighter, it does not mean that the bearer is gay. In fact, many men purposefully carry pink lighters knowing that other men will not pocket them as eagerly as they would a lighter of a more masculine color.
